CJ's Village Market is the Gigiri branch of the popular Kenyan all-day restaurant chain, inside Village Market on Limuru Road. The menu covers hearty breakfasts (the waffles with fried chicken are a favourite), fresh salads, burgers, fajitas, grills, pasta and indulgent desserts, with good coffee throughout the day. It's cosy, family-friendly and easy for a shopping-day lunch, and it opens from early morning until late.
"The atmosphere and theme were so beautiful the ambience was warm, cozy, and really cute. It’s such a lovely place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food was absolutely delicious! The pizza came out fresh and hot with a perfectly crunchy crust, and the pasta was rich, creamy and packed with flavor. Everything was well seasoned and tasted amazing. The service was also excellent. We were seated quickly our food arrived fast and our server was so polite patient and understanding with our group which made the experience even better. I highly recommend this place. I had such a great time and will definitely be coming back!"
"Everything was cooked to perfection, truly one of the best I’ve ever had Edit: went there for the second time today for breakfast. I ordered the waffle with fried chicken breasts and the potato wedges. The meal portion was pretty generous, and so tasty. The potatoes were so sweet and crispy. The fried onions were chefs kiss! The waffle was 10/10! And the coffee was so good! I think this is the best place to eat in Nairobi. Delicious food, an aesthetically pleasing environment, great customer and amazing views ❤️"
"Took my mama out for her birthday lunch and ordered the combo fajita, while she had the beef pepper steak cooked well-done, with mashed potatoes. The fajita arrived properly hot and sizzling, with tender meat and nicely sautéed peppers that added a subtle sweetness to the overall flavour. The tortillas were warm and soft, and the lemon rice on the side brought a light, fresh contrast. The mala-based dip had a tangy profile with a gentle hint of sweetness and citrus, balanced with light pepper and salt. Paired with the guacamole and kachumbari, the sides complemented the dish well without overpowering it. The portion was generous and satisfying. The beef pepper steak was well-cooked and flavourful, served with smooth mashed potatoes that paired nicely with the sauce. We also tried the blueberry milkshake and a pineapple and mint specialty juice, both refreshing and well-balanced. Service was efficient, friendly, and courteous throughout, and the calm ambience made it a comfortable setting for a birthday lunch. Overall, a thoughtfully prepared and well-rounded experience.
