"The Perfect Culinary Farewell to Nairobi An absolutely spectacular dining experience at Misono and the perfect way to spend our final evening in Nairobi with my wife before flying home. We ordered the sushi boat, and the execution was flawless—both visually and gastronomically. The Breakdown The Presentation: The centerpiece was a massive, traditional wooden boat loaded with an incredible array of sushi. The attention to detail was exceptional, featuring intricately carved vegetable flowers that elevated the entire aesthetic of the table. The Selection & Quality: The boat was generously stocked with high-grade cuts. The sashimi—particularly the thick cuts of salmon and tuna arranged beautifully on shredded daikon at the bow—was incredibly fresh. The nigiri selection was diverse, including perfectly draped salmon, tuna, ebi (shrimp), and avocado-topped pieces, alongside a massive variety of precision-cut maki rolls. Accompaniments: We paired the main event with sake, served traditionally in white tokkuri carafes and ochoko cups. The meal was rounded out perfectly with a side of pan-fried gyoza, fresh salads, and hot miso soup. The Verdict: If you are looking for top-tier Japanese cuisine in Nairobi with presentation that truly matches the quality of the ingredients, Misono is unmatched. "Met all expectations. Not the best sushi I’ve had but pretty good. The teriyaki chicken with fried egg rice was also good. Service was fast and friendly. Owners sat in the front welcoming you as you entered and exited"
