"I had a great stay at JW Marriott Nairobi overall. The hotel itself is excellent, with beautiful rooms, great facilities, and outstanding food. The service was generally very good. There are a few areas that could be improved. The gym is quite small and tends to get crowded, the Wi-Fi could be more reliable, and the hotel has only four elevators for a 25-floor building with more than 18 rooms per floor, so expect some waiting during busy times. I was also surprised that my room wasn’t cleaned on one of the days, which wasn’t what I expected from a hotel of this standard. Overall, it’s one of the best hotels in Nairobi, and with a few improvements, the experience would be even better."
"The property itself is exactly what you would expect from a JW Marriott. Modern infrastructure, beautiful rooms, a great spa and impressive overall design. The hotel feels luxurious from the moment you walk in and the facilities are genuinely world class. Unfortunately, the service did not match the standard of the hardware. Across multiple interactions during our stay, the staff and overall service felt surprisingly mediocre for a hotel positioned at this level. Even after speaking to several other guests staying at the property, many seemed to share the same sentiment. The food was another disappointment. While the restaurants and presentation look premium, most dishes we tried felt overpriced and quite bland considering the pricing and brand positioning. The spa experience was similar — we specifically requested medium to firm pressure for our massage, paid a premium price for it, and still ended up with one of the softest massages we’ve had. Overall, it’s still a good luxury hotel with excellent infrastructure and comfortable rooms, especially for a Nairobi stopover. But the service and dining experience currently fall short of what you would normally expect from the JW Marriott brand."
"The best staff representing JW! From the masai welcome team, greeted with all smiles, to the team up at the executive lounge (faith, joyce,Davis? To name a few) were all very attentive during our stay. They seemed to remember the guests everytime we entered the lounge. The executive lounge here is probably the better ones out of the JW brand. Felt like a fancy restaurant more than anything during breakfast and late afternoon hot items. Rooms are clean and held up to the standard of this brand. Food options on site is also delicious, you really dont have to leave the hotel. Unfortunately the pool was closed during our stay for maintenance. But looked massive. Gym facility was also great."
