Award-winning steaks and seafood with South American flair at Fairmont The Norfolk.
Tatu is the award-winning fine-dining restaurant at Fairmont The Norfolk, the historic hotel on Harry Thuku Road. The kitchen centres on premium steaks, including dry-aged Kenyan Angus and a signature tomahawk, and coastal seafood, cooked with South American flair and Swahili influences, alongside a dedicated vegetarian selection.
An open kitchen, a glass-walled wine cellar and a patio over the tropical herb garden set the scene. Chef's Table menus are designed for two to share, with the option to add bubbly for a celebration.
"We went to Tatu restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had a pleasant experience at this amazing restaurant. Amazing service and a truly fine dinning experience. The waiter “Tevin” gave us great food recommendations, and had an amazing birthday surprise party for my husband..we will definitely repeat this experience again."
"My husband and I had dinner at Tatu during an evening stay at the Norfolk Fairmont hotel. The food was great and service was good. The cheese bread before the meal was warm with 2 butter options. Goat cheese app was good. My tenderloin was cooked perfectly at medium rare. We had fries to share as a side. Enjoyed the chocolate cake dessert. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice evening while in Nairobi."
"Very classy, elegant restaurant with the best service I've experienced in Nairobi. The waiters know the menu and are really helpful. Great food that is also well-presented. The portions are possibly too big (if that's a problem?). Ambience is good, too. Tables are spaced out well and the restaurant has a very calm, peaceful feel... which is a welcome change from the numerous noisy restaurants."
