Trattoria is Nairobi's oldest family-run Italian restaurant, a CBD institution on the corner of Kaunda and Wabera Streets since the early 1980s. Its long menu draws on the south of Italy, Rome, Tuscany, Piemonte and the Veneto: antipasti, homemade pasta, wood-fired pizzas, seafood and char-grilled meats, finished with homemade ice creams and cakes. There's indoor and pavement-side seating, a full bar, and it's open from breakfast until midnight every day.
"What a nice hidden gem we found! The pasta was simply amazing, all fresh and tasty. The service was very friendly too, variety of desserts, and the ambiance and decoration is quite interesting. I recommend sitting at the terrace. Prices are good as well, and portions very generous. I recommend the carbonara pasta, a most try!"

I did not expect to find excellent Italian food abroad. I tried the local pizza and beer, so yummy! The best part was the service.
